We have been together since 2001 after meeting in an online chat room on the old X-Stream Network. We actually started talking to each other in 2000 and hit it off straight-away, but didn’t meet up for the first time until the following Summer. We then occasionally SMS’d each other over the following year until meeting up again in Summer 2001. From then on, we just went from strength to strength and moved in with each other in August 2002 when Kelly had finished college in St. Austell and while I was at Plymouth University.
Getting engaged followed in February 2004 and we got married last year (2007) at the Elfordleigh Hotel in Plympton, on a beautiful day in May (Everton qualified for Europe on the same day so it was an especially good day for me! haha). We had a stunning honeymoon in Barbados where we went on a Catamaran ride out to see the turtles, an Island Safari, toured the Rum factory and ate and drank way too much!
We moved into our first house in November 2007 after living together in two flats in the centre of Plymouth. We have still some boxes to unpack, but the house is great! Just after Christmas we learnt that Kelly was pregnant with our first child, which thrilled us both! So the old wives tale of – new house, new bed, new baby – came true!
We are expecting the baby to be born around the 22nd September, barring any problems, and you can follow all the news right here on our Babyblog.
